Australis Engineering are finalists for three Mercury Awards
27/08/2012 - The Logistics & Materials Handling Mercury Awards are designed to enable supply chain management and logistics teams to reap the rewards of innovation. Peter Gustafson
Australis Engineering has been listed as a finalist for three awards across two categories in the 7th Annual Logistics and Materials Handling Awards — the Mercury Awards.
Materials handling solution
Materials handling is the backbone of any supply chain strategy and is often the area where potential cost savings are rife.
Materials handling comes in the form of many systems, including: bulk handling solutions; data capture and labelling; factory materials handling systems; forklifts, stackers and trolleys; hazardous goods handling systems; packaging and packaging equipment; and warehousing equipment.
This category helps to reward those often unsung heroes who supply or implement a smart materials handling solution that helps boost safety, efficiency, sustainability and the bottom line of their business and/or their customer’s.
Australis Engineering has two projects listed as finalists in this category:
- Mini Linear Palletiser with integrated infeed conveyors and safety system
- High speed quad head palletiser for loose soft drink bottles with integrated infeed and outfeed conveyors
Young industry professional
This category provides an opportunity for a young logistics industry recruit to demonstrate excellence in the provision of services, development of strategy or supply chain management including consulting services.
Australis Engineering's finalist is Anthony Gustafson, our engineering manager and company director.
The Mercury Awards are sponsored by the Logistics and Materials Handling Magazine.
Award winners will be announced at a gala dinner on 6 September 2012.
