10/08/2009 - GS1 Australia has launched an express website for new members to order authorised GS1 BarCode numbers online.
Maria Palazzolo, GS1 Australia CEO, said the site was another key step towards building a service that meets the needs of Australian businesses. “We have had a high demand from businesses of all sizes that need quick access to barcode numbers for their products.
“By using the available technology we are giving new members an easy, instant and secure way to join GS1 Australia and acquire as many bar code numbers as they need.
“We know how important it is to get the correct authorised GS1 BarCodes on products so we have designed an easy-to-use site that makes the ordering process as streamlined as possible,” she said. “By ordering barcode numbers through Barcode Express, businesses have the security of knowing their numbers are globally unique.”
