Camera inspection system for plastic bottle manufacturer

24/05/2012 - An Australian plastic bottle manufacturer required 100 per cent product inspection on bottles intended for the pharmaceutical industry.
As a solution, Vision Systems Engineering developed a 4 camera inspection system so that all peripheral aspects of the bottles were able to be inspected - from flashing to wall thickness, abrasions, short shots and deformations.
A potential development of this system is to side grip the product for base features to be inspected if required.
The communication and control is achieved via an HMI touch screen monitor which also can show production statistics.
