Findings from BULKEX 2009Job functions the most represented included Engineers and CEO ,General Managers and Managing Directors, followed by Operations Manager and Business Development executives.
Demand for new technologies and products: The top 2 reasons for visitors to attend the show were to see new technologies (33.9%) and to look for new products/developments (21%). Importantly, 70% of visitors had purchasing power and over 75% intended to buy in the very short term- within 1 to 2 years.
A growing international representation: With Bulkex 09 held in Brisbane, a large number of visitors came from Queensland. And despite the difficult economic climate experienced in 2009, international visitors attended from across the globe . Countries represented included: Canada, China, New Zealand, Austria, Germany, india, Israel, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, UK and USA.
The top 5 products attendees are looking to purchase are: Material Handling and Transportation (20%); Dust Collection (10.97%); Weighing Systems and Scales (10.37%);Feeders (9.15%)Packaging & Bagging (8.41%)
