25/07/2008 - The Secure Document Destruction Company in Sydney has worked really hard to become the first company in Australia to achieve NAID certification, and it did so with the help of IT's GREEN's Evans EV45E Shredder.
The Secure Document Destruction Company was awarded with AAA certification in March this year. It earned the certification for its plant-based operations. It is only the 4th NAID Certification outside of North America, where there are currently over 360 NAID Certified locations.
The other three locations outside North America that are NAID Certified are in The Netherlands.
Based upon a surge in recent inquiries, it appears that interest in NAID Certification is growing on an international basis, predominantly in Australia, Asia and Europe.
NAID executive director Bob Johnson was on hand for the audit in Australia. During a trip, he also presided over NAID-Australasia’s first industry event, which included a meeting at the office of the country’s Privacy Commissioner.
