9/08/2008 - This Australkia icon, the Wiggly Play centre management has identified a slip and fall risk in their tiled kitchen and food serving areas.
After consultation with the builder Global Safe NSW was contacted to assess the situation and propose a suitable non slip solution for the surface in a busy environment which can get oil and water contaminated.
As a result of the assessment as well as in consultation with the builder and the centre manager, the Safe Grip cold fusion technology anti slip strips were proposed to resolve the issue for the long term. This was due to the product proven ability of providing sustainable and OH&S compliant slip resistive surface in an oil and water contaminated environment. Due to the urgency of the issue, Global Safe NSW organised the installation almost immediately to ensure that the centre employees will not be exposed to the risk of a slip and fall incident.
The job has completed after the kitchen was closed for the day ensuring no disruption to the play centre’s normal business. The centre manager is not only very satisfied with the new anti slip surface slip resistive qualities but also with the professionalism of the staff who done the work and the rapid manner Global Safe NSW treated their issue.
The centre is also taking up the industry unique, Floor Safety Maintanence Program (FSMP) which is also offered to them as part of the solution, to ensure that the kitchen and serving area surfaces will be slip resistant for years to come.
