Unsealed road networks can produce large amounts of sediment, and a good proportion of this sediment will end up in our creeks and rivers. Once in our waterways it can cause environmental harm to plants and animals as well as lowering the overall quality of our water.
Local councils are environmentally conscious and are consistently striving to improve the local conditions for residents and the environment.
With large networks of unsealed roads some councils are struggling with existing funds to manage this and other associated problems.
The most efficient way to reduce your sediment runoff to our waterways is:
A relevant and very important addition to overall road stability is a revolutionary new product called PolyCom. PolyCom is a stabilisation product which can be introduced at the time of a maintenance grade with very little additional cost to the exercise.
The use of this product will significantly increase the strength of the pavement producing an area which will resist wear and tear and traffic damage. It will also resist erosion damage from water and wind. The product is totally safe to the environment and will not leech out into the surrounds.
In addition to these environmental positives a PolyCom treated area will vastly improve the fiscal bottom line by way of reduced maintenance to the treated area. Maintenance intervals can be considerably increased due to the increased strength of the treated pavement.
For more information on PolyCom, please contact Mark Holding on the details below, or email mark.holding@earthcoprojects.com.au.
PolyCom is Australian designed and manufactured and is unique in the world today, there is nothing else like it.
