Fibre King has completed its largest export installation to date, supplying the entire end of line packaging systems for a US100M+ plant expansion in Asia. The client is a US based Pharmaceutical Company, demanding the highest standards of equipment reliability, performance and quality, as is the norm for this industry.
The project included three new packaging lines and Fibre King’s scope covered case packing (from 5 to 45 cases per minute), checkweighing, coding, palletising and interconnecting product and case conveyors and also a depalletiser for an order of over AUD4M.
Fibre King carried out stringent pre-shipment testing, including a 10 day FAT with 6 of the client’s representatives from the USA, UK and the local Asian site. After successful testing Fibre King shipped nine 12 metre containers of machinery which was installed over the last two months.
Fibre King CEO Earle Roberts “This project is great recognition of the excellence which Fibre King has obtained. Despite the strong Australian dollar and tight engineering and trades labour market, we have been able to secure large export orders against major European and American competition. We have then been able to deliver a large and complex project to the clients exacting requirements.
Pharmaceutical clients demand the highest in standards, in terms of equipment quality, service and documentation. These requirements teamed with the exceptionally high cost of downtime on these production lines has seen Fibre King lift its standards to even greater heights and the flow on benefits all Fibre King’s clients, whatever their industry.
The Fibre King team has worked very hard over the last decade to raise its performance in its traditional case packing and palletising markets and then to bring this high level of discipline to new areas, such as meat and fresh produce, with great success.”
In other Fibre King news, in addition of offsetting its carbon emissions from electricity, company vehicle and air travel since the start of 2007, Fibre King has reduced its water consumption by over 50% in 2008.
