26/06/2012 - Fire-fighters are often called in to circumstances of extreme pressure over which they at least initially have little control.
In these real life and death circumstances practice is vital in ensuring safe and rapid decisions are taken.
MSA Australia has had a long term relationship as one of the formative sponsors of the NSW Fire Brigade Championships held around the state and run by the professional NSW Fire-fighters Association.
Each year the championships are held on a regional basis, including metropolitan and rural fire-fighters.
Invited attendees from Victoria and New Zealand also add to the competition with fierce rivalry between neighbouring brigades and divisions.
Held in a competitive spirit the championships hone the skills of our fire-fighters and reinforce their training and practice. The championships are held in public and also offer a terrific way for the community and fire-fighters to interact.
