FlexLink develops hygienic conveyor for egg liqueur plant

Extensive hygiene demands
Hygiene has highest priority in the food and dairy industry, and it is of special importance to maintain cleanliness in production equipment. This is especially true for conveyors, as contaminants can easily be distributed along the entire production line.
A high speed, reliable and easy to clean conveyor system
Daily cleaning of machines and conveyors is necessary in the filling parts of the production line. This is why Verporten has installed FlexLink’s hygienic conveyor, based on stainless steel. The open structure provides self draining surfaces to reduce liquid build up on the conveyor during production and improve accessibility for cleaning. The high speed conveyor system is modular in design, making it easy to assemble and reconfigure.
Bernhard Roth, Production Manager, Verporten, says: “The hygienic design of the new conveyor makes it ideal for sensitive parts of the egg liquor filling line. The system also uses standard components so it is compatible with previously installed systems.”
Fast return on investment
FlexLink delivered the system in pre-assembled modules, which made it easy to install. The improved hygienic standards and easy to clean features of the new system has resulted in a fast return on investment for Verporten. The 0.35-0.7 litre bottles are transported with a speed of 35m/min, with up to 100 bottles per minute handled on the new conveyor.
