The two product lanes may be of similar or different items as the AccuCheck PD Food Inspection System is fully capable of scanning both lanes at high speed without sacrificing detection accuracy. Port Lincoln Tuna has a variety of Food Inspection Systems installed, including both metal detection and x-ray based systems, to provide cost-effective food inspection to suit the different types of potential contaminants.

Although initially more expensive to purchase, x-ray based Food Inspection Systems can detect a wide range of non-metallic contaminants such as glass, stone and other organic items. Unlike metal detection machines, the scanning performance of x-ray based Food Inspection Systems are not compromised when scanning metal foil packs.
