Fujitsu selects Cincom Acquire for configuration process

Fujitsu Frontech North America manufactures a wide variety of products including retail point-of-sale terminals, self-checkout systems, kiosks, media solutions, palm vein biometric authentication technology, Ethernet switches, RFID tags and currency handling equipment.

With such complex products available in a multitude of choices, the manual process for verifying orders and configurations can lead to quoting delays and efficiency disruptions within Fujitsu.

The complexity multiplied as Fujitsu increased its customer base and customers began requesting multiple configurations.

With sales, service and engineering support throughout the United States, Fujitsu needed a software solution to manage the expert knowledge across its organisation.

"I looked at a number of tier-one systems and ultimately recommended Cincom because it was the easiest to program model rules and provided us with the most flexibility to make changes in the future," said Kevin Judd, Director of Self-Order Technology at Fujitsu Frontech North America.

"We expect that Cincom Acquire will cut our time required to check orders to zero and allow the sales group to build accurate configurations on the fly without requiring internal resources to build and check the bill of material."

Top-level executives at Fujitsu decided to partner with Cincom based on trust, credibility and substantial predicted profit improvement.

Faster, more accurate configurations, quotes and proposals can decrease time to close a sale and improve overall sales revenue.
