Gas Cylinder Handling & Restraints
Bottlechock cylinder restraints protect the cylinder, reduce damage to valuable gauges, prevent movement and provide a safe and secure work environment.
Their unique design ensures full contact with the cylinder's surface and holds the cylinder firmly, in position and secure, unlike other systems where the cylinder remains loose to allow unfastening. Quick release fasteners allow cylinders to be changed or secured quickly and easily. No lifting is required reducing the possibility of back injury.
They are at work in environments as diverse as open trucks on unmade roads, at sea, mine sites, hospitals and controlled environment laboratories. They have been designed to secure cylinders and to help achieve a safer workplace.
Safe, Quick and Easy
Regulations require cylinders to be properly secured in transit and while stationary. They can be a threat to workers if not secured correctly.Their shape, size, and weight means moving and securing them can be difficult.
Bottlechock restraints are designed to positively grip cylinders in the workplace and in transit. If the strap is incorrectly left unfastened some security is still provided.
Flexible, Adjustable Multifit Design
Each Bottlechock restraint is designed to adapt to larger or smaller diameters. It is easy to engage the cylinder and all diameters within its range are firmly held.
The medium sized unit in this photo fits the smaller D' size cylinder (160mm) as well as the larger 'G' size (230 mm diameter). This allows a working change of cylinder sizes without purchasing another unit or having an incorrectly secured cylinder.
Not Just Cylinders
Bottlechock restraints can be used to secure other round items between 100-375mm diameter e.g extinguishers, fuel canisters, drums or pipe work. Horizontal use can be an option where regulations allow.
