Industrial Scales For WA Water Treatment Plant

The industrial scales monitors the volume of sludge produced during the treatment process and also ensures that trucks are not overloaded while removing the sludge from the plant.

The industrial scales include 6 x 50T load cells fitted to a hopper which is elevated 6 metres to allow trucks to drive underneath the industrial scales to fill up with the waste by-product. An Accuweigh R5000 digital weight indicator is used to display the weight of sludge in the industrial scales.

A PLC is connected to the digital weight indicator using a 4-20mA current loop output and regulates the opening and closing of the large gates fitted underneath the industrial scales which discharges directly into trucks below.
