26/11/2010 - Keil (distributed in Australia by Embedded Logic Solutions) announce immediate support for the Freescale Kinetis device families in the Keil MDK-ARM (Microcontroller Development Kit). Ramzi Kattan
The Kinetis portfolio of ARM Cortex-M4 processor-based MCUs consists of five families with over 200 pin-, peripheral and software compatible devices with outstanding performance, memory and feature scalability. The portfolio includes a comprehensive selection of peripheral options and innovative FlexMemory technology.
The latest release of MDK-ARM has been developed together with Freescale and supports all Kinetis K10, K20, K30, K40, K50, and K60 devices. It includes Kinetis set-up files, device-specific views, and new compilation features and intrinsics that take advantage of the DSP and floating point capabilities of the Cortex-M4-based devices.
MDK features the industry-standard compiler from ARM, the Keil µVision4 IDE, the full featured RTX RTOS, and sophisticated analysis tools. It is specifically optimized for single-chip, high performance devices such as the Kinetis Cortex-M4 family.
Availability
MDK-ARM v4.13a is available for download now.
You may also download the Freescale OSJTAG drivers which enable MDK to connect to the Freescale Tower evaluation system without using a ULINK adapter.
