Lend Lease awarded $315 million M5 upgrade contract
26/06/2012 - Lend Lease's Australian businesses Abigroup has been awarded a $315 contract to design and construct an upgrade to Sydney's M5 motorway.
Part of the work includes widening about 21 kilometres of the M5, in Sydney's southwest, from Camden Valley Highway to King Georges Road, from two lanes to three.
The work should be completed in 2014, Lend Lease said in a statement on Tuesday.
Separately, Transurban said Interlink Roads Pty Ltd had signed off on the $400 million road widening project.
"All project documents have been executed with the NSW government, financiers and the principal contractor, Abigroup Limited," Transurban said in a statement on Tuesday.
