21/05/2012 - A Metal Detection System is being used for scanning bales of hay for metal contaminants in South Australia.
Supplied by Accuweigh's Perth branch, the Metal Detection System ensures the client's processed bales of hay being exported are not contaminated by foreign metal objects.
The Metal Detection System originally supplied was damaged during a fire at the client's factory and required a new Metal Detection Head Unit to be purchased and retrofitted to the existing conveyor system.
As one of the Australia's largest exporters of hay to Japan, this client's Quality Assurance program requires all hay destined for export to be scanned by a Metal Detection System.
To cater for the large bales of compressed hay, an oversize Metal Detection Head was supplied from a local Australian manufacturer.
Accuweigh has a wide range of Metal Detection Systems available to suit all food and industrial inspection applications requiring the ability to detect metal contaminants.
