09/07/2012 - NACHI's ultra-fast spot-welding robot was awarded a Nikkan Shimbun 2011 Ten Best New Product Award
The honour is presented to products developed and launched during that particular year and which contribute to evolution of manufacturing and the strengthening of Japan's international competitiveness.
Winning products must combine both technical excellence and practical utility.
This year, 62 products from 58 companies were in contention including the Ten Best — a total of 19 products were recognised.
The SRA robot was NACHI's first product to win this prize.
Attending the award ceremony held at the Hotel Grand Palace in Iidabashi, Tokyo on January 26, managing director Sasaki happily accepted the prize.
"We have enabled the world-leading production speeds, and SRA feels like a well finished, solid product," Sasaki said.
"This honour has encouraged us to move on to the next step."
