11/02/2008 - Twin automatic nett weight bagging machines with dual vibratory feeders are being used by a large Stockfeed manufacturer in Melbourne’s Eastern district to fill stockfeeds, including pellets and premium mixed feeds with molasses.

The bagging machines are filling these products into 20kg to 25kg open mouth bags at a rate of nine (9) bags per minute for premixed feed with molasses and fifteen (15) bags per minute for pellets, with an accuracy of 50 grams or better.

The nett weight bagging machine was supplied with a 3,000 litre capacity dual discharge supply hopper and free standing support structure with two ‘platform’ levels provides access to the weighers and the supply hopper.

The discharged weighments of product are dropped into empty bags positioned by an automatic bag placer.  The filled bags are then closed by a newlong automatic sewing machine with infeed device and transferred to a Fuji-Ace robot palletiser to stack the bags onto pallets.

The Fuji-Ace EC-101 robot palletiser stacks the filled bags onto pallets positioned either side of the robot.  The control system allows the filled pallet on one side to be removed by forklift, whilst the robot continues stacking the pallet on the other side. This ensures continuous operation of the system at all times.

Accuweigh has also supplied two (2) gravity fed gross weight bagging lines for free flowing products to the same client.
