Accuweigh's heavy duty weighbridge is fully galvanised and consists of twin 14 metre weighbridges installed back to back for an overall weighbridge length of 28 metres. These Accuweigh weighbridge decks are fully Australian Made with all manufacturing being done at QWM's weighbridge manufacturing facility in Brisbane.
Although slightly dearer than opposition weighbridges, the extra heavy duty design of this Accuweigh weighbridge won the day as Readymix's new sand quarry is expected to have a life span of 35 years and they needed a weighbridge design they knew would cope with the heavy workload.
The weighing duties will be performed by twelve Avery T302 stainless steel loadcells coupled to dual Rinstrum 5000 digital weigh indicators and a QWM summing indicator. Both the individual deck weights and the combined total weight will be relayed to three Rinstrum D740 large digit remote displays mounted at the end of the weighbridge so the truck drivers can see their split weight readings.
This weighbridge installation is currently underway with expected completion in mid-September after the Weights & Measures Certification is completed.
