Junior Stretch Wrapper

Provided by Bud-Pak Pty Ltd

17/10/2008 - Budpak is supplying a pallet wrapper as part of a new liquid filling and packaging system for Cargill’s Kooragang Island plant in Newcastle. The semi-automatic pallet wrapper will be wrapping pallets loaded with either drums or cartons (bag-in-box) of vegetable oils.

The Junior pallet wrapper has an in-built Siemens S7-200 PLC controller for allowing all the necessary parameters for wrapping any kind of load, independently from their height, stability or structure. The operator panel is very easy to follow with individual functions easily distinguished by differently coloured controls.

The filled pallet is placed on the pallet wrapper turntable, the operator starts the wrapping cycle at the control panel and the load is automatically stretch wrapped. Once the load is wrapped the operator cuts the film and ties the film to the turntable in readiness for the next load to be wrapped.

Budpak will be supplying, installing and commissioning equipment for the entire liquid filling and packaging line, including:

     • drum and carton fillers
     • closing equipment
     • metal detection system
     • robot palletiser
     • stretch wrapper
     • conveyors
     • carton erectors
     • carton sealers
     • ink-jet coders.

Budpak is one of Australia’s most respected names in filling equipment and has hundreds of bagging, filling, palletising and stretch wrapping installations throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific.
