29/08/2008 - CADCENTRE Asia Pacific, the Autodesk Digital Prototyping solutions provider company owned by CONCENTRIC Asia Pacific, has merged with "sister" business group ENVIZAGE to form a new, much larger enterprise specialising in Autodesk Digital Prototyping, Visualisation, Simulation and Advanced Manufacturing.

ENVIZAGE, the business group that is part of the privately owned Australian company CONCENTRIC Asia Pacific, has announced that it has expanded its offerings to the Australian product design, engineering, manufacturing and serious games  communities by incorporating Melbourne-based CADCENTRE Asia Pacific.

CADCENTRE Asia Pacific was started in 2003 and has specialised in the Autodesk range of Manufacturing Solutions within Victoria - including AutoCAD LT, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Mechanical, Autodesk Electrical, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Productstream and Vault. These solutions are complementary to the Autodesk visualisation portfolio – Autodesk ImageStudio, Autodesk AliasStudio, Autodesk Showcase and Autodesk Portfoliowall - already offered nationally by ENVIZAGE.

"Together, the entire range of Autodesk products provides what they refer to as Digital Prototyping. This encompasses the full cycle of product development from concept to production. Whereas in the past, ENVIZAGE and CADCENTRE have been separate operations of CONCENTRIC, we have decided that the best way to support our customers across the nation is to bring them together as one", says newly appointed manager, Mach Dinh-Vu. Mach has more than a decade of experience in a senior Asia Pacific management role with Bentley and more than 25 years experience in I.T.

"The 'new' ENVIZAGE is now a multi-disciplinary business specialising in digital prototyping, visualisation, simulation, and advanced manufacturing. This means that our customers have a single Technology Partner capable of assisting them all the way from the raw concepts of a design to supplying the market", he adds.

"Not only do we feature the Autodesk suite of solutions, we also have an experienced team of engineers capable of providing on-demand services... as an extension of an engineering department in times of peak capacity, or when specialist assistance is required such as finite element analysis."

ENVIZAGE is now an enterprise of more than 25 people with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane, and representation in Canberra and New Zealand. The team includes business managers, services engineers, accredited trainers, support technicians and manufacturing specialists. Via CONCENTRIC Asia Pacific it is also part of a worldwide knowledge/resource-sharing alliance with high profile engineering technology providers in India, France and the United States.

"The coming together of ENVIZAGE and CADCENTRE under the one brand has dramatically increased the level of expertise we bring to market, as well as our resource base."

The new-look ENVIZAGE is more than software and engineering services. The advanced manufacturing division located at Brisbane Technology Park features a foundry, casting facility, 3D printers and rapid prototyping, industrial spray booth, NC machining, and a specialist hand assembly-finishing team. It has a diverse customer base from the craniofacial surgery unit of Royal Adelaide Womens and Childrens Hospital to aerospace. From car makers to cooktops, mining trucks to medical equipment, artificial knees to architects, state government trophies to sports cars, train cabins to the Torana TT34 concept car. ENVIZAGE has contributed to Toyota winning back-to-back Australian Rally Championships and Manufacturers Championships, and to teams in the V8Supercars and Nurburgring 24 Hour race. It has the ability to produce life like full size products with working components, and either one part or one thousand parts made from low-cost prototype or actual production materials.

"Companies can partner with us from the time they create a raw concept and by utilising the Autodesk digital prototyping solutions and our understanding of the global market, along with our physical prototyping and rapid manufacturing technology, we can help them get their products to market a lot quicker and more efficiently", says Michael Myers, Managing Director of CONCENTRIC Asia Pacific which is celebrating its 25th year of operation.

"ENVIZAGE always been unique based on its capabilities and now we have made it an even more specialised type of business in this part of the world", adds Mr Myers.
