CONCENTRIC Announces New Training Calendar for 2009Provided by CONCENTRIC Asia Pacific 2/12/2008 - NOW IS THE TIME TO INVEST IN YOUR TEAM'S SKILLS Accredited training provider CONCENTRIC Asia Pacific has announced an expanded calendar of software courses for Q1 2009. The company is to present a total of more than 90 courses between January and early April at its Melbourne and Sydney based training centres. "In these uncertain economic times the smart thing to do is to invest in your people", says Glenn Barrett, the National Training & Support Manager. "It appears that some companies, whilst wondering what direction to take, will end up doing nothing at all. The astute companies can take advantage of this indecision by investing in their people and their skill sets. By doing this they will function a lot more efficiently, will be a lot more productive, and better prepared for when the market starts to firm up again." Glenn Barrett has more than 25 years training experience in the Australasian and Asia Pacific regions. The CONCENTRIC team has been specialising in Dassault Systemes technology for almost 20 years and is recognised by the France-based developer as a licensed education provider. It is also a provider of Right Hemisphere solutions and has added the Deep Exploration product to its training portfolio. Glenn says the first step for investment-minded companies is to understand what skills they currently have and what they will need to be successful in the future. "We conduct what is called Skills Gap Analysis. This evaluation provides an employer with a good understanding of what skills his team need to develop in order to improve efficiencies and productivity. It enables him to measure their progress and to know what unique advantages he will have over the competition." Glenn's team will be presenting authorised instructor-led courses for designers and engineers who from a broad range of industries such as automotive, aerospace, transport, consumer and electrical goods, maritime and defence. The courses are CATIA Fundamentals, CATIA Surface Design, CATIA Generative Sheet Metal Design, CATIA Detail Drafting, and for more seasoned users there will be classes in CATIA Advanced Drafting and Customisation, CATIA Mechanical Design Expert and CATIA Surface Design Expert. They range from one to five days. For those wishing to embrace leading-edge virtual reality technology in order to be able to interact with their designs or demonstrate their capabilities via the Internet - without the need to learn deep programming or complex animation - CONCENTRIC is also providing a course on the Virtools solution from Dassault Systemes. (www.virtools.com ) There are to be four Virtools Fundamentals classes held throughout February and March. The company is to present 4 courses on the Deep Exploration solution. Right Hemisphere's Deep Exploration enables designers and engineers to use their 3D CAD data to create lightweight interactive, animated training and marketing materials which can be accessed online or embedded into Microsoft Office documents. Deep Exploration is a low-cost solution which creates compelling 2D and 3D product graphics to improve sourcing, sales, and service product communications. It leverages existing CAD assets without requiring expensive CAD software or engineering resources. Users can generate and output real-time 3D manufacturing and maintenance instructions, create multiple procedures using steps, and automatically assign dummy animation sequences (www.righthemisphere.com ). "In addition to our instructor-led courses we are able to provide customised courses specific to the needs of individual companies, based on the types of CAD software they are using and where they want to go in the future." CONCENTRIC is also able to provide companies with training on other Dassault Systemes solutions which reduce overheads and streamline design-to-manufacture processes - SMARTEAM (data management and collaboration) and DELMIA (virtual manufacturing) - along with LMS solutions utilised for complex engineering analysis: Virtual.Lab and Imagine.Lab AMESim.
