25/01/2008 - Lauterbachs TRACE32-PowerTools debugger now supports the Microchip PIC32 family

Lauterbachs TRACE32-PowerTools MIPS32 Debugger has added support for all members from the new Microchip PIC32 family. This chip is based upon the MIPS32 M4K Core and can run with a clock up to 72 MHz.

The PIC32 products are pin, peripheral and software compatible with Microchip's 16-bit PIC MCU families and also across the PIC32 MCU family. The debugger supports all common TRACE32 features, such as on-chip breakpoints, unlimited software breakpoints, programming of the internal FLASH-memory, Assembler level- and HLL Debugging and a lot of other features. Already existing MIPS32 Debuggers can be very easily upgraded to the new chips with a software update.
