Parliamentary Secretary for Defence Procurement Greg Combet said the agreement represented a joint commitment on the part of the DMO and H.I.Fraser to spend over $2.2 million on Defence-specific professional and technical training.
“This landmark agreement will provide H.I.Fraser with 88 additional training opportunities over and above the company’s normal training program,” Mr Combet said. “To date the Australian Government has committed over $30 million from program funds in order to address the unique character of many Defence-relevant skills and the rising demand associated with the ongoing modernisation and expansion of the Australian Defence Force’s capability.” “I would like to congratulate the staff at DMO for all of their hard work on the SADI program and for achieving the 50th agreement”.
Australian-owned H.I.Fraser specialises in gas, fluid and waste engineering, providing specialist hyperbaric engineering and technical support for sustainment of the Royal Australian Navy fleet.
