1/07/2008 - Accuweigh’s Brisbane branch are supplying four sets of large industrial scales for weighing skip bins for the new Desalination Plant at Tugun on the Gold Coast. These custom designed industrial scales will be used for weighing the sludge by-product from the desalination process.
These industrial scales measure 8 metres long by 2.4 metres wide with a weighing capacity of 30 tonnes. Raised side beams are fitted to the industrial scales for guiding the skip bin into position while loading and unloading from a hook truck.
The industrial scales will ensure each skip bin is fully loaded for increased carrying efficiency during removal from site while at the same time also ensuring the hook trucks removing the skip bins are not exceeding the legally permitted axle and truck weights while travelling on public roads.
