6/05/2004 - Unit Process Consulting's mixing division continue to innovate and adapt mixing technology for the benefit of their clients.

Recently a large international chemical company required the dispersion of powder into their base mix. Suppliers of such equipment had offered dispersers with 130kW drives to achieve the required results. The order was eventually placed with Unit Process Consulting.

By splitting the function of the mixer into its two distinct and separate components it was recognised a considerable saving in both capital cost and operating costs could be realised. Unit Process Consulting supplied two mixers and the dispersion is now successfully carried out with only 60kW of installed power.

It is this new approach to the application of existing technology that can benefit our customers enormously in all industries. This particular example could result in major savings in the paint and ink manufacturing industries.
