NZ: Hamilton's Prolife Foods buys Mother Earth snacks

8/10/2008 - Hamilton-based Prolife Foods has bought the Mother Earth snack food business from Cadbury Confectionary for an undisclosed sum.

Prolife planned to add Mother Earth to its supermarket bulk self-selection and Value Pack businesses.

Cadbury has recently announced it is developing its Dunedin factory, which produces Mother Earth, as a specialist centre of excellence for chocolate assortments.

Hamilton-based Prolife Foods owns the Alisons' Pantry brand in New World and Pak 'N Save supermarkets, and is one of the country's largest importers, manufacturers and marketers of nuts, dried fruits, snacks, cereals and confectionary.
