New seat rail tester for Air International

25/07/2003 - The Air International Group recently commissioned local engineering firm Applied Measurement P/L to design and manufacture a purpose built automotive seat rail tester.

The Air International Group (Limited) is a tier-one supplier to the global automotive industry, specialising in Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Seat Systems, Steering Systems, Metal Pressings, Fabrication, Modular Assemblies and Rail and Bus HVAC Systems.

The Air International Group recently commissioned local engineering firm Applied Measurement P/L to design and manufacture a purpose built automotive seat rail tester. The new seat rail tester enables improvements to existing seat rail design, aswell as directions for new product development. The tester works by applying pre-determined forces to a rail under analysis, mounted within the tester. Custom software allows operators to vary test parameters in such as fashion so as to exert expected, and exceptional forces upon seat rails.

Applied Measurement focuses on providing product and engineering solutions in the areas Pressure, Force, Torque, Displacement, Tilt, Strain, Weight, Acceleration, Velocity and Position. Services also include design, testing, and calibration.
