7/12/2007 - Accuweigh’s Brisbane branch recently supplied a pallet jack fitted with an approved Intrinsically Safe weighing system to allow it to be used within the hazardous area of the Dulux Paint’s Rocklea factory in Queensland.

An industry standard pallet jack is outfitted with four 1t beam load cells which are connected to an AND Mercury 4406 digital weight indicator which has been specifically modified to comply with the very rigid EX standard.

The AND Indicator is externally powered by a sealed rechargeable 12 volt battery fitted under the headstock that can only be re-charged by taking the pallet jack outside the hazardous area.

This Intrinisically Safe pallet jack can weigh up to 3,000 kg capacity by 1kg divisions and has a large LCD display that is exceptionally easy to read under all lighting conditions.
