28/05/2008 - The new, camera-based protection and measuring system PSENvip to be launched by Pilz Australia uses an innovative optical system, parallel vision to monitor the whole bending process, enabling the operator to work more productively in complete safety.

When installed on the upper die of the press brake, PSENvip detects any foreign body in the protected field between the transmitter and receiver which may be up to 10m apart.

The divergent LED light beam is insensitive to vibration, diffuse light and interference. Because of the high optical resolution PSENvip safely detects the smallest of objects up to 2mm. PSENvip's service life is up to four times as long as that of laser-based systems.
