RCR Tomlinson achieves a 5th year of record earnings

The company on Monday posted net profit for the year ending June 30 of $17.95 million, up two per cent from $17.63 million last year.

RCR Tomlinson said earnings had been boosted by recurring income from maintenance work throughout Australia and a continued strong performance from resource equipment sales from operations in Bunbury, Western Australia.

Revenue was $518.5 million, up 42 per cent from $364.1 million in the 2007 year.

"RCR has commenced the new financial year with a strong order book relating to non-recurring project work ... currently standing at $170 million compared to $50 million at the corresponding period last year," it said.

"The workload is expected to increase over the next few years based on the resources, oil and gas market remaining strong and infrastructure spending continuing in the energy sector."

RCR's board has declared a fully franked dividend of five cents per share.
