14/03/2008 - Keil announce the availability of Real-Time Trace for Cortex™-M3 processor based devices in the RealView® Microcontroller Development Kit (MDK) v3.20.

Cortex-M3 processor-based devices offer a new Serial Wire (SW) debug mode, replacing the JTAG interface with a 2-pin interface, and offering new features.

The Serial Wire Viewer (SWV) uses one further pin and provides Real-Time Trace information about: interrupt execution, data read/write of selected variables, event counters, and user trace data.

A number of dedicated trace windows in uVision display trace records, state changes and debug messages.

These extra features and Real-Time Trace capability are all available using standard RealView MDK and ULINK2 or ULINK-ME, there is no need for additional software or hardware tools.
