17/07/2007 - Take a shovel to the earth’s surface and a few metres down you’ll find the temperature to be virtually the same across the globe. Rittal uses this geothermal principal to efficiently and cost effectively cool and heat enclosures.

Ingeniously simple, Rittal Terravent provides effective climate control for outdoor enclosures. The hot air from the enclosure is forced into a pipe with a radial or axial fan. A pipeline system laid underneath the enclosure cools the air which in turn is used to cool the enclosure.

In cold climates the temperature of the air inside the pipeline system rises, effectively heating the enclosure.

Inlet and outlet points of the pipes can be freely positioned to avoid hot spots. Depending on the application, the air discharge and air inlet can be positioned in the base, plinth, roof or at freely selectable positions inside the enclosure.

The new products are available from all Rittal branches across Australia and New Zealand.
