5/08/2002 - Axapta has released its Point of Sale (POS)/Retail Management software that allows users to use their computers like conventional cash registers. The POS module can be integrated with Axapta’s Financial and Trade Series modules and expanded through the Logistics and Customer Relationship Management Series. Axapta software is supplied to the Australian market by distributor Scalable Data Systems

Managing Director of Scalable Data Systems, John Crew says “With Point of Sale, the computer can operate as a conventional cash register. It has a user- friendly Windows interface that allows for easy entry of sales, receipt generation, printing of management reports, customer and inventory inquiries during checkout, and optional electronic authorising and settling of credit card charges.“

The system supports multiple users, registers, stores, stocking warehouses, profit centers and companies. It is menu password protected, as well password protected for cashiers during sales ticket entry.

Other options include those for Inventory Management (eg. stocktaking with bar code scanners), Customers (eg. Records of Customer purchase history for marketing and loyalty programs), Sales Management (eg. view register allows management to monitor overall sales of the store), Reporting - numerous reports (eg. Register History, Payment History, User History, Tax History) can be generated.

Scalable Data Systems have supplied retail management point of sale solutions to sectors such as hardware, white and brown goods, gift shops, plumbing suppliers, computer equipment, electrical suppliers, fashion, audio/visual, jewellery, restaurants, mining supplies, country, rural and book stores.
