Transfield inks 5 year $385mln deal with Housing NSW

Transfield provides planning, subcontractor management and maintenance services to the NSW government body.

Under the new arrangement, which begins on October 27, Transfield will manage 40 per cent of Housing NSW's maintenance portfolio.

Transfield Services managing director Peter Watson said the company was able to provide maintenance services to 58,000 properties across Sydney, Newcastle, the north and south coasts and the southern tablelands of NSW.

"We will also work with Housing NSW on a range of community sustainability initiatives, including increasing employment opportunities for tenants, indigenous Australians and apprentices," Watson said.
