Accuweigh’s local Technical Sales Representative, Tom Armour, reports the installation of the two new weighbridges will eliminate existing traffic congestion that has been caused by both incoming and outgoing traffic having to queue to get weighed over the single weighbridge currently being used. The new weighbridges are expected to be ready for use by the end of October.
The Accuweigh weighbridges are 9 metres long by 3 metres wide with a capacity of 30 tonnes each. The weighbridge design allows for ground level concrete decks with protruding main beams supported by four Avery T302 stainless steel weighbridge loadcells.
The weigh calculations on each weighbridge are handled by Accuweigh 5000 digital weight indicators with serial outputs to communicate with the PC based software package for tracking goods and invoices.
The drivers will be able to see their vehicle weights from the Rinstrum D740 large digit external remote displays that will be fitted to each weighbridge.
