27/02/2008 - Abigroup recently ordered an Ultrahawke weigh bridge fitted with guard rails to assist the drivers safe exit of the truck while it is on the weigh bridge as there have been recent instances of truck drivers slipping on the steel beams of the weigh bridge and suffering serious injuries.

Ultrahawk’s latest weigh bridge was ordered for the Hume Highway Duplication Project and the weigh bridge will be used for monitoring the amount of road base being carried by trucks on the Southern Package freeway extension.

The weigh bridge guard rails were powder coated a bright yellow colour for high visibility before being firmly attached to the galvanised weighbridge beams.

Ultrahawk’s weighbridge measures 20 metres long by 3.5 metres wide comprising of a single weighbridge deck suspended on six Flintec weighbridge loadcells which are fully stainless steel for ultimate corrosion protection. A Rinstrum 5000 digital weight indicator is used for displaying the weight readings of the weigh bridge and for communicating with the PC weighbridge software.
