What makes Gamma’s service so good?Provided by:Gamma Solutions Pty Ltd 15/07/2008 - Behind that famous Gamma service...Kim Waterston, at right is one of our many important staff members. She's responsible for monitoring our customers' jobs so she deals directly with Gamma customers. Her role begins with logging the call, then monitoring the repair from the time the defective unit arrives until the time it's despatched. Customers can contact Kim and within just a few moments she'll know the status of the repair. 'Using a unique reference number or the unit's serial number Gamma can trace the entire history of any unit from the time it was installed,' she says. 'We can see how often the unit has been in for repair, the configuration details and settings, its location, and more.' Gamma Solutions is Kim's first full time position: she joined Gamma straight from university. She holds a Bachelor of Business with majors in Management and Marketing, which she says come in handy dealing with customers and managing the service team. Kim works closely with the technicians and says they're great people to work with. She's gained their respect through her dedication and has no difficulty assigning their workload. How technical and complex is the job? Kim admits she still doesn't know a lot of the part numbers, so she relies on the technicians daily to help her out. They are, after all, a team. 'It's easy to get a broad sense of the job,' explained Kim. 'It's more difficult to come to grips with the intricate details. That takes time and patience.' When she first started she used a 'cheat sheet' which helped her recognise equipment, serial numbers and so on. 'Our National Service Manager Leo Sfinas oversees the whole Service Department Australia-wide, so he has the final say. But I manage the repairs and make sure everything is done within the correct timeframe. I also manage bookings for the technicians' on site visits, site surveys and maintenance checks: For more information on how Gamma Solutions service can help your business call Kim Waterston on 1 3000 GAMMA, or email her at kim.waterston@ gammasolutions.com BEE FACT A colony can have up to 60,000 worker bees, which feed the queen and larvae, guard the hive entrance and help keep the hive cool by fanning their wings.
