6/10/2008 - At insignia, commitment to excellence in quality and innovation is the driving factor in all aspects of their label manufacturing. They also recognise that other areas, such as community sectors and commercial events, also aim to promote these same high goals and insignia is pleased to be able support these events by either actively participating in or sponsoring them.

Recently insignia teamed with Domino Australia to participate in foodpro 2008 which is a trade show for new product developments and emerging technologies in the food and beverage industry.  The joint stand held by insignia and Domino, who is a world class manufacturer of ink jet and laser coding technologies, was a successful combination to showcase a comprehensive range of labelling products and hardware printing systems.

David Fanning, Marketing Manager for insignia, reported “events like foodpro 2008 provide us with the ability to introduce new insignia products to a significant number of our target market candidates. This year we were pleased to be able to unveil the new thermal print over-coding Domino V-series printer, which can integrate with existing systems without the need for additional software and it does not require an operator - thus delivering efficiencies in time and cost”.

Also held in Sydney in July of this year were the Food Challenge Awards. insignia were involved again this year via their sponsorship of the Baked Goods Category Award and the winner of the award was Ookies Cookies by Futurebake. The product was recognised as innovative because the cookie is designed for children’s appetites and it is high in fibre and lower in fat than regular cookies.

As additional highlight, insignia sponsored Australian swimming champion Elka Graham to speak at the Food Challenge Awards gala ceremony.  Elka spoke of the high goals that she set herself to achieve her Olympic swimming success and how this same ‘Olympic’ determination is reflected in companies that are competitive and passionate about new product innovation.  To be one of ten companies to receive an award for an innovative product is a testament to the dedication required for an effective new product development program.
