Leading provider of software products for managing field activities, Techs4Biz Australia announced the release of the next version of Pervidi 5.75, which includes support for Android-based smartphones and tablets.
According to Naamann Shibi, Techs4Biz CTO, supporting Android devices is the next step in the evolution of the mobile workforce. By supporting the Android platform, the company plans to expand the use of Pervidi to cover a significantly large number of mobile users.
Pervidi inspection management software version 5.75 includes the ability to wirelessly transfer information to an Android device, allowing the user to conduct inspections and data collection activities 'offline' using an Android smartphone or tablet.
The information is subsequently wirelessly 'synched' back to the database using the Android's wireless connectivity (3G/ 4G /Wi-Fi).
Naaman explains the Pervidi Android application equips customers with the ability to record any field inspection in addition to integrating barcode reading, picture taking, and markups on the user's pictures. Data can be wirelessly 'synched' with the database by using the device's wireless connectivity or via Wi-Fi.
Pervidi 5.75 is being offered as an enhancement to the current Pervidi version.
