Mensor Corporation, a WIKA company, has developed a range of pressure calibrators that addresses these issues by offering automated pressure controller/calibrators that offer long-term stability and interchangeable pressure transducers.

The Mensor models utilise up to 4 tranducers. Each of the pressure transducers can have up to three calibrated pressure ranges. The transducers provide a 6 month (or one year on some models) calibration interval and an uncertainty of better than 0.01 % of full scale for each pressure range. The interchangeable sensors allow customers to minimize the "cost of ownership" of having to return the complete unit multiple times throughout the year for calibration.

Often calibration laboratories must purchase several pressure calibrators to cover a wide spectrum of pressure ranges. This means that there are times a pressure calibrator sits idle until it is required for a specific pressure range. With the Mensor unit's ability to have multiple pressure ranges on each transducer and the ability to interchange pressure transducers, the need to purchase multiple and costly pressure calibrators is minimised.

Rather than purchase multiple calibrators, the customer can make the initial purchase of a single model and then purchase individual transducers of different pressure ranges and interchange them as needed in their existing calibrator. This gives the cal lab a tremendous amount of flexibility and cost savings from not having to purchase additional calibrators. Ideally suited for calibrating precision transmitters from Yokogawa, Emerson, Endress + Hauser, ABB, Honeywell, Amatek, IFM, Tecsis, Trafag and others where a high level of accuracy and repeatability are required. The Mensor Automated Pressure Calibrators are essentially a "calibration lab in a box".
