TEX Onsite - The 5077 PowerCal is a precision test instrument designed to calibrate watt-meters, power meters, and kW-Hr meters.

  • 0 to 1000V AC or DC
  • 0A to 20A AC or DC (100A AC with current transformer option)
  • Phase: -90.0 deg to +90.0 deg, or 0.00 to 1.00 Lead/Lag(power factor)
  • Power: 0 to 20kVA or 0 to 20kW (0 to 100kVA/kW with CT option)
  • Frequency: 40 - 400 Hz
  • lRS232 (or GPIB) programmable

PowerCal is controlled remotely from a standard PC via the RS232 (or USB) interface, or directly from Time Electronics' 5051 Calibration System.

A user friendly virtual front panel allows the four parameters to be set individually. Frequency can be set in 0.1 Hz steps from 40 to 400Hz, and phase as degrees or power factor (PF). The output can be displayed as VA or power, and can be switched on and off from the panel. An additional operation is required prior to the selection of high voltages for safety reasons.
