Supporting all wireless standards such as 802.11a/b/g and transmitting on frequencies 2.4 or 5GHZ data communication is capable up to 30km. Providing a wide array of connection options with a built in 4 port switch each RAP has fiber optic and RJ45 Ethernet jacks. A range of supporting antennas ensures stable wireless connection in critical environments, even in industrial areas with high interference. With an IP65 rating units can be mounted in a number of different outdoor locations. Variable power is available with a choice of 24 V DC or 110/230 V AC or Power over Ethernet (PoE) reducing installation cost and effort. Data transmitted over the WLAN is encrypted and secured with WPA2/AES encryption algorithms defined in the 802.11i standard. AdsTec has integrated intelligent filters which ensures only intended data types are transferred via the network. Data can be filtered according to an IP address, MAC address or by network protocol.
