The Bambach Saddle Seat is designed to promote optimal seated posture in the human spine. A wide range of adjustments are provided to help the individual find the most natural, comfortable sitting position.

The Bambach Saddle Seat is shaped like a saddle to enable the body to maintain ideal posture when sitting. There is no need for direct lumbar support because the correct lumbar curve is maintained naturally rather than artificially.

The seat provides all the adjustments to allow the sitter to find a "natural" spinal position. The back rest on the seat is optional being used purely as a "rest" and adjusts for height and angle.

A person sitting on a Saddle Seat assumes a position that produces least stress for muscles, ligaments and joints, thus relieving stress on the lumbar discs and spine because the pelvis is properly positioned and stabilised. Feet maintain floor contact, allowing the weight of the legs to be taken through the feet and the feet used to mobilise the whole body.

The Saddle Seat permits the pelvis to be held securely in its natural position so that, when leaning forward to work, the lean is from the hips and not the waist.
