AMS Instrumentation & Calibration -
The FCI ST50-1 and ST75-1 Flow Meters are an accurate, easy to install solution for measuring and controlling air, compressed air or nitrogen flow.
The flowmeters utilize the FCI proven thermal dispersion technology to provide direct mass flow measurement resulting in higher performance at a lower cost than orifice plates, DP, Vortex shedding and other thermal devices. The ST50 installs in line sizes ranging from 51 to 305 mm with ½” or ¾” NPT connections and the ST75 in-line version in line sizes from 6 to 50 mm.
The ST50 uses precision, miniature platinum RTD sensors embedded in small diameter thermowells. Combined with microprocessor electronics and precision calibration, the flowmeters achieve superior
accuracy, fast response and virtually maintenance free operation.
The standard ST50 is calibrated over a wide range, 1 to 125 SPFS for air, 1 to 150 SFPS for nitrogen and 4 to 400 SFPS for compressed air. For applications requiring alternate calibrations, such as very narrow ranges or extended media temperature compensation, the ST50 can be custom calibrated. The ST75 offers a wide flow range to 838 SCFM.
The instrument is field configurable for flow range in standard volumetric or mass flow engineering units. It features dual analog outputs, 4-20 mADC and 0-10 VDC, which are field assignable as flow rate or temperature. Field configurations are set using any standard PC or the FCI FC88 programming unit.
The all stainless steel element with Hastelloy-C tips, is press-fitted to protect from invasive conditions within the pipe and to ensure long service life. The electronics are housed in an all metal NEMA 4X rated enclosure for ruggedness and dust / weather proof service in industrial plant applications.
Applications of THE ST50-1 AND ST75-1 FLOWMETERS:
• Municipal and Industrial wastewater control
• Blower and dryer input/output air flow
• Burner and furnace air flow control
• Lake, pond and aquaculture aeration control
• HVAC duct/damper control
