Power efficiencies
The multi-stage centrifugal design was built with power efficiency in mind, which has also helped to keep the noise levels down. GD blowers provide clean, dry, oil-free air or gas at variable flow rates through a centrifugal rather than a positive displacement design.
Multi-stage design
It utilises various amounts of aerodynamically cast one-piece aluminium impellers encased in cast-iron housing. This assures the utmost in efficiency which translates into lower operating costs. An inlet butterfly control valve permits variable flow rates with resultant power cost savings.
Simple Construction
Each impeller in each stage of the blower can be selected to give them optimum performance characteristics and controllability required for the application. Then they are mounted onto a common drive shaft which is supported by two outboard anti-friction oil or grease bearing lubricated bearings, assuring virtually maintenance free operation.
An adjustable inlet butterfly valve enables the flow rate to be varied to match any changes in the system’s air demand.
