A fully automatic, gross bagging machine takes most of the labour intensiveness out of the bagging process, enabling faster and longer process runs. Bag clamping is also controlled by the control enclosure, though typically initiated by the operator using a microswitch or foot pedal.

Typical Operation of Gross Bagging Machines:
- The Operator uses the digital indicator to recall the required target weight (setpoint).
- The Operator fits a bag to the weigh bin and activates the bag clamp.
- The Operator initiates the automatic mode.
- The supply bin begins supplying product to the weigh bin until the setpoint is reached.
- When the setpoint is reached, the bag is released, and the process is repeated from step 2.
