Applications of IP66 Explosion Protected Enclosures for Hazardous Locations - Ex Range:
Designed for areas where flammable gases, vapours or dust may be present, B&R has developed a range of Explosion Protected (Ex'e' and DIP) Enclosures.
All units have been tested by Safety in Mines Testing and Research Station (SIMTARS) to the requirements of: -
- AS2380.1
- AS2380.6
- AS/NZS 61241.1.1
Construction
- Manufactured from 316 Stainless Steel with an N4 finish
- All enclosures supplied with DIN rail for mounting terminals
- Formed in place Polyurethane gasket
- Flat face sealing technology for a better seal and less gasket wear
- Based on B&R's success TE (smaller sizes), and NI enclosures ranges
- External Earth studs on all units

- IP66 Protection Rating
- Larger (NI style) enclosures feature threaded inserts for attaching mounting brackets
- Smaller (TE style) enclosures fitted with external mounting brackets
- Enclosures clearly identified with Exe / DIP rating labels
- Complies with temperature class T6
