Altronic Distributors - Micron has released an ESD safe soldering station designed specifically for lead free soldering applications, up to 500°C as a result of the introduction of RoHS.

It utilises a high power transformer for much higher tip temperatures than standard soldering stations. It is also equipped with the latest lead free compatible Japanese made tips.

A handy power saving mode increases tip life and reduces power consumption. While the inbuilt Nichrome heating element allows rapid tip heat recovery and temperature consistency.

For SMD soldering requirements an optional tweezer handle, equipped with SMD tips, can be plugged directly into the station.
